013 ▲ Video; Action for Goldenrod

So is anyone having issues with being able to hear everything?

[Disgruntled Luke is disgruntled, and also much fluffier than usual. He appears to be wearing a very fluffy yellow scarf, but the fact that his eyebrows and a portion of his bangs have turned the same color and the end of his nose is black suggests it might not be a scarf.

That much is on the screen before he tilts the camera up to show the two long red-orange ears poking out of his hair, the reason for his complaint.]

I mean, besides other things but--okay why is everything all weird?!

[And then he's distracted by someone off-camera, though the feed is still going.]

What, no. I'm not...hey, don't pet my ears, I'm not actually a Pokémon!

Like, three entirely unrelated babies have snagged this stuff as I passed, on completely separate occasions.

[Sorry Heather, he's sort of trying not to laugh at that. He understands, but honestly, he would be tempted to pull on the fluff if he were next to her.]

I haven't had anyone pull mine yet, but some old ladies and a few little kids have come up wanting to pet them.

I'm this close to just wearing a helmet and walking around like that.

And smelling everything.

[Korra's looking pretty shaggy. Practically wolfish. And it looks like she has black triangle tattoos above and below her eyes. Curving out of her thicker and longer than normal hair are a pair of fuzzy, pointy Mightyena ears.]

I don't have that problem...yet. My sense of smell's fine, just my nose's changed color.

[She looks kinda cool, but also kinda intimidating. His ears flatten briefly, then perk back up.]

When it first started, I just had...a lot of extra hair.

There is so much food everywhere, it's driving me crazy.

So much...food everywhere?

Everybody has food. I can smell like twelve different things. I'm not even hungry, but I want it all.

I was afraid you meant that you wanted to eat everything....like anything that wasn't food, too.

And I bet there's a Pokemon out there that eats everything, too.

You're definitely not the only one. Everything's so loud, I've got a really bad headache...

[He doesn't mind either way, but he holds the 'Gear further away from himself than he normally would for the voice message.]

Hehe, I could go for that. Besides, I don't have any clue what to do to fix anything, so it's for the better if someone else does all the legwork.

If there's one thing the professors around here are actually good for, it's figuring out this stuff.

No, it's my hearing. Everything is twice as loud as it was before, and being outside is starting to give me a headache.

Ah... your new ears must have affected your hearing, I guess. They seem rather... dog-like, to be honest. And I know dogs are known for their clever hearing.

...though I can see why it would be a headache. Do you have a quieter place you can sneak off to?

Uh...my apartment. But that's across the city. I could go outside of the city, but that's where all the weird Pokémon are.

[Also implying there are quiet spots in Route with the constant BGM.]

_{[Molly's sporting a similar pair of ears, although hers are an icy blue, and not as prominent. The weird crystal like things are gracing her forehead like a hairband, though.]}

I think it's those monster pokémon. They're making it happen.

Makes sense, I guess. Nothing weird happened to me until some bird...thing tried to take my arm off.

[He moves closer to his screen, trying to see her ears better. That's not how cameras work, Luke.]

Yours look like mine, only a different color.

Mm ... I think I'm one of the Eevees. The ice one.

It's kind of cold. It's weird.

That's uh...I don't remember which one that is. Vaporeon?

[That's the only Eeveelution he can remember that's blue.]

_{[She shrugs and shakes her head.]}

[Excuse him as he cuts the video to look up both Glaceon and Flareon. He returns in a few minutes.]

I can help you warm up, if you want. [Pause. Wait.] I-I mean...that sounded better in my head. Don't...take that the wrong way.

_{[She really didn't get it, she just looks puzzled.]}

[Being struck by a psychic-type had some truly unfortunate side effects this time around.]

[She'd probably just hide away from everything if that happened.]

Don't worry, as long as you don't come over to Pewter you shouldn't have anything to be concerned about.

[ If it weren't for Luke's hair, Naminé would think she was seeing things. Then again, she has little room to talk: She has some very obvious, very fluffy ears and tail going on. Seems like someone's gotten struck by a Buneary, and she doesn't look too comfortable about it.

But still, it's a relief to see him... even if she's, again, worried. ]

Luke? Is that you?

[Despite the fluffy ears and tail, she's recognizable enough as Naminé. Unfortunately, he'd been paying more attention to his Gear than his surroundings, aside from the random pettings, so she startled him slightly.]

I--Naminé? It's me, yeah...

[ What a way to meet him for the first time, face-to-face. Naminé seems to relax a little bit as she moves closer to him. ]

It seems like... we were both attacked by those things.

[Best first meeting! And in response, he seems to fluff up as she gets closer. Only slightly, and he's not moving away.]

'Attacked'...the thing tried to bite off my arm, look.

[He holds out his right arm, showing Naminé the bandage wrapped around it just under the elbow.]

[ She notices--and takes that as a cue to keep her distance. ]

Oh... oh, no... [ ... but it's difficult to stay away when that's a pretty nasty wound. Even under the bandage, and if the size of the thing is anything to go by... Naminé reaches out, lightly touching it.

Her own arm is covered by a bandage about halfway up. Pretty bad gash, really--there's some blood visible there. ]
