Hey look, Tear finally evolved.

[His voice sounds oddly muffled and scratchy. There are two reasons for this: because a) his face is half-smushed into a pillow and b) he's sick.]

'Cept she keeps slapping me awake. Pr'bly because I'm out of medicine. Anyone in Goldenrod want to do me a favor and go buy me some cold medicine? I'll reimburse you whatever it costs.

Hold up, I got an idea.

[He whistles, and seeming to almost teliport, Sota, his Lucario, leaps next to him. Neku takes a ball off his belt and releases Banksy, the baby Smeargle. Saying something to Sota, the pokemon kneels and waves his paws over the younger pokemon, glowing lightly blue.

Nodding, Neku hands Sota some pokedollars, and the pokemon leaps out the nearby window]

Sota can track your Smeargle, so expect him to show up in a few with your meds.

[Luke is just...going to watch that, 'Gear propped in front of him, his chin resting on one hand. The Smeargle is less interesting than the Lucario, since he already has a Smeargle of his own.]

He's a Lucario. They evolve from Riolu and are... fighting and steel I think? Definitely fighting. They use auras of other living things to do all kinds of things.

[At that moment Luke might here polite knocking on his window]

[He does hear knocking...and so does his Smeargle, who was asleep but now has to go investigate the source of the knocking. Luke kinda rolls off the bed after him.]

They don't hurt anyone with it. I mean they can use their OWN auras to attack, but-

[Oh, it's Sota. The Lucario is perched on the ledge like it's nbd, and waves slightly at the Smeargle puppy]

[The puppy barks and waves back. Unfortunately, he used the paw holding his paintbrush tail up off of the floor, scattering paint droplets over part of the wall.]

...Seriously? Be more careful. [To Sota:] Uhh...how much do I owe you? Is a thousand enough?

[Can Sota speak human? Luke separates a couple bills from the stack in his hand and holds them out to the Lucario.]

[That wasn't something Luke wasn't expecting to happen, so he's a little surprised. But at least this method of telepathy doesn't cause him horrible migraines, so he'll take it.
